Title: The Girlfriend Song

Description:
Subscribe! http://bit.ly/Tobuscus

The audio at the beginning is weird, sounds like the guitar and my voice both randomly go into some different tuning. Exotic.
This is the first time I played anything live... so don't step on my balls. Recorded version is sexier:

Sincerely Word.

Comedy rock is a term used to describe rock music that is mixed with satire or other forms of comedy.[1][2] This tradition can be traced back to the earliest days of rock and roll itself, the most notable early examples being Stan Freberg who lampooned artists such as Elvis Presley and The Platters, and Sheb Wooley whose "Purple People Eater" hit #1 on the Billboard pop charts in 1958 and stayed there 6 weeks.[3]

Some comedy rock artists, such as Frank Zappa, Tenacious D, and more recently, Flight of the Conchords create songs with amusing, witty, and/or over-the-top lyrics. Other acts such as Dread Zeppelin, Beatallica, and GWAR rely more on gimmicks such as outrageous costumes or mixing genres for comic effect.

Many mainstream rock and pop punk bands are known to incorporate comedy songs in their work: Bloodhound Gang, Blink-182, Bowling For Soup, Reel Big Fish, Sublime, Primus, System of a Down and The Presidents of the United States of America.

Rock has been the target of many spoofs and several spoof bands have gone on to have actual hit records, a good example would be The Hee Bee Gee Bees and subsequently Spinal Tap in the U.S., and Bad News in the U.K.. The most successful parody artist is "Weird Al" Yankovic who is now in his fourth decade of creating song parodies and has sold more than 12 million albums (more than any comedy act in history).[4]

Punk rock has made its contribution to the comedy rock ranks, with such bands as Dead Milkmen, The Aquabats and The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black. Sid Vicious' covering "My Way" is comedy rock of a more sardonic sort. The Fat Dudes are described as the Comedy Punk Rock Band. Seattle had "Dumt" playing speed metal 'humorcore, from the late 80's until 1997.

The virtual band Dethklok is death metal spoof featured in the Adult Swim animated program Metalocalypse[5] and their album entitled The Dethalbum debuted at #21 on the Billboard Top 200 list.[6]

The band Steel Panther, formerly known as Metal Skool, has become a fixture on the Los Angeles Sunset Strip with their spoof of 80's glam metal[7] and their success has opened the doors for other Hollywood spoof bands such as The Jimi Homeless Experience.[8]

ICONS is a episodic, comedic, satire rock musical that utilizes both lampooning and parodies of iconic rock artists and original satire rock, created by Greg London. Written in the classic literary format of The Hero's Journey. It started in the West End theater district at the beginning of 2007, then ran in Reno, NV mid 2007 through the end of 2009, and moved to the Strip in Las Vegas in mid 2010

Title: Eight O'Clock Coffee (Day Two)

Description:
http://www.myspace.com/tobyjoeturner

Based on a true coffee. Day Two.

The best time to drink Eight O'Clock Coffee... is the only time to drink Eight O'Clock Coffee.

Watch Day One first, if you're a fan of.. chronologic...ality.

We're gonna do a Day Three... because... so... it'll be a "Trilogy." I'm not sure if "Saga," is just 4+ or what... cause that sounds pretty cool too. I'll do some research.

In the meantime, go watch everything else on my entire profile. If you don't like "Love Buggies," you're probably... mature.

* Hah.. the president of Eight O'Clock Coffee saw this and said, "The fact that the characters die after tasting it is probably not the way I would have wanted it to end."

Eight O'Clock Coffee is the brand name of the light roast of coffee introduced by the American supermarket chain A&P in 1859. In 1919, the roast was renamed and given its current trademark.[1] According to legend, the company came up with the name by conducting a survey asking people what time of day they drank coffee most. The majority of those surveyed reported that they typically drank coffee at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., which is why company went with the name "Eight O'Clock Coffee."

In the 1929s and 1930s Eight O'Clock coffee had gained over a quarter of the U.S. market share. In 1979 A&P licensed its division Compass Foods, Inc. to sell Eight O'Clock coffee to other retailers including competing supermarket chains. In July 2005, it was acquired by India's Tata Coffee.

Today Eight O'Clock coffee is the third largest seller of whole bean coffee in the U.S. It is also claimed to be the best tasting coffee out in the market.[2] The Eight O'Clock Coffee company is headquartered in Montvale, NJ and produces its coffee in Landover, MD.[3]

Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX) is an international coffee and coffeehouse chain based in Seattle, Washington, United States.

Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse company in the world,[4] with 17,133 stores in 49 countries, including 11,068 in the United States, nearly 1,000 in Canada and more than 800 in Japan.[5]

Starbucks sells drip brewed coffee, espresso-based hot drinks, other hot and cold drinks, coffee beans, salads, hot and cold sandwiches and panini, pastry, snacks, and items such as mugs and tumblers.

Through the Starbucks Entertainment division and Hear Music brand, the company also markets books, music, and film. Many of the company's products are seasonal or specific to the locality of the store. Starbucks-brand ice cream and coffee are also offered at grocery stores.

From Starbucks' founding in later forms in Seattle as a local coffee bean roaster and retailer, the company has expanded rapidly. In the 1990s, Starbucks was opening a new store every workday, a pace that continued into the 2000s. The first store outside the United States or Canada opened in the mid-'90s, and overseas stores now constitute almost one third of Starbucks' stores.[6] The company planned to open a net of 900 new stores outside of the United States in 2009,[7] but has announced 900 store closures in the United States since 2008.

Starbucks has been a target of protests on issues such as fair-trade policies, labor relations, environmental impact, political views, and anti-competitive practices.
